Take your training to the next level
The Edge 530 goes way beyond just collecting data — it provides dynamic insights into your performance that can help you improve your own records. See how your body holds up in different environments with the heat and altitude acclimatization¹ feature. Get notifications on the go when you need to hydrate or eat. See if your most recent workout was balanced in endurance, threshold, and hard effort. When the Edge 530 is paired with compatible sensors, it now displays your power curve and compares your en-route efforts to those of previous weeks and months. No matter where you train, you can sync your structured workouts from TrainingPeaksTM and our Garmin Connect™ online fitness community, right to your Edge. You can also view your upcoming workouts during the week and jump to the appropriate workout when needed.
Ride with confidence
Whether you're training with fellow riders or commuting to work, your Edge 530 takes your safety seriously. It offers a follow-up and group messaging feature so you can stay in touch if you get separated from the group². It also has an incident detection feature that automatically sends your location to your emergency contacts if it detects an incident. Because you can never be too careful, pair your Edge 530 with Varia rear lights and radar to see and be seen. And the new PIN-protected Bike Alarm notifies you on your smartphone if your bike is moved while you're indoors to fetch water or make a pit stop.
Navigate from turn to turn
The Edge 530 includes the preloaded Garmin Cycle Map with turn-by-turn routes as well as navigation alerts when approaching a turn. To help you ride like a local, the Popular Routes feature chooses the roads and trails most popular with cyclists. And the Edge 530 can even guide you back to the right path if you stray from it or back to where you started if you want to get back early. And with twice the routing speed of previous models, you'll spend more time riding and less time waiting.
Dominate the trails
When you want a change of scenery, the Edge 530 is your ATV destination guide. Get started by downloading the free Trailforks app from our Connect IQ store and unlocking Trailforks map content on your Edge. With trails from over 80 countries, Trailforks maps give you access to the best up-to-date information, including trail conditions, heatmaps and more. And if you stop halfway through, the new Forksight mode automatically displays upcoming intersections in the trail, and gives you context by showing where you are in the trail. As you ride, Edge 530 tracks your exploits with new mountain bike metrics like jump count, jump distance and hang time. Other MTB features include Grit, which measures the difficulty of trails using GPS and elevation and accelerometer data, and Flow, which measures how smooth your descents are so you have a score to beat on your next outing.
Hit the slopes like a pro
Climbs could become your secret weapon with the Edge 530 and the new ClimbPro feature. It automatically shows the remaining ascent and degree as you climb an incline during your ride. You see what you have left to endure, which is useful for evaluating the efforts you will have to put in the rest of the course.
