The Campagnolo Ekar C13 chain is one of the fundamental elements of the group of the same name. The practice of Gravel requires a chain offering the most efficient transmission, fluid and fast gear changes and must be robust and resistant over time. The Ekar C13 chain is 0.25 mm narrower than Campagolo's 12-speed chain but offers exactly the same performance, including over time. The C13 chain meshes efficiently with the special profile teeth of the 1x13-speed crankset and Ekar sprockets for a safe, efficient and smooth transmission. Despite its narrow profile, the C13 chain is very robust; its C60 steel inner links, with Teflon nickel surface treatment, resist the higher degree of wear to which they are subjected on Gravel courses.
